Transitions

Hello students and former students,

I used to post fairly frequently, but as you can see it has been sparse over the last few years.  I will start posting regularly again as soon as I have set up my new studio, but for now, here’s the short story:

My husband developed a strange, unnamed illness in 2017; modern medicine made him worse; we moved closer to family in 2021; I reestablished my studio in Prescott, joined the AZ Phil, and taught at Trinity while taking care of him; and in spite of all our efforts and experimenting with alternative medicine, he died a year ago.

He was a good man, a good husband, and a good father.  Also a good engineer, very funny, creative, and full of faith.  Here he is on our 25th anniversary, back when our 12-year age gap felt like nothing:

And now I am in the Phoenix area, enduring the heat but also enjoying being close to most of my family.  As soon as I find the right house, I’ll be ready for students again – and looking forward to it!  Will post again then.
